ABOUT NAOMI ACKERMAN

Naomi Ackerman researched, who wrote and performs “Flowers Aren’t Enough”, is an American-born Israeli. Naomi received a BA from Hebrew University and teaching credentials from David Yellin Teachers Seminar. She is a graduate of the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio, and successfully completed a two level film acting course run by Ruth Dichess. Naomi is an experienced actress whose credits include theater, musicals, films and television as well as being an accomplished street performer stilt walker and professional clown. Naomi has participated in various multinational Theatre productions where Arab and Jewish actors from the region worked together. Was one of the founding members of "View Points" an Arab -Jewish theatre group that promotes tolerance and dialogue , sponsored and produced by the “Peres Center for Peace" . She writes directs and has devised plays with children at risk from various backgrounds. Naomi is also a mediator and conflict resolution specialist, She works as a freelance consultant to various organizations adapting and creating drama techniques to deal with social, gender and educational issues. Recently Naomi created and developed the "Flowers Aren't Enough" educational initiative. An educational interactive dramatic curriculum that deals with healthy relationships, and wise dating choices called "If flowers aren’t enough what is?" this program is currently being implemented in high schools all over So Cal.
